Toast Using a TomahawkWedding Day Details:

Your wedding day should reflect you, what you love, what you value, rather than be crammed full of a lot of traditions.  For Brian and Gemma their day showed their love for each other, family, friends, and a good time of laughter filled with beer, wine, good food, and cats.  While we think it would be awesome to have a cat ring bearer, a best cat, or a cat of honor it didn’t happen as the cats stayed back in Texas.  We did however get tables named after the cats they rescued and even more unique a cake topper topped with the cat Rosie.  They had a Bourbon Country $250 bottle of beer, unique gifts they opened, a map for guests to sign, many stories told, and lots of laughter during the pub quiz about their life and relationship.

The Chapel at Red Rocks Review:

The Red Rocks Chapel has a semi formal feel with a little old church charm with wooden pews and the view the Red Rocks in the background.  It is at the entrance 3 to the Red Rocks Park.  Feels somewhat like a wedding ceremony factory on Saturdays considering there was a wedding before and afterward.  For couples wanting an elaborate setup you might find it difficult based on the layout and the limited time on site.

The afternoon ceremony was indoors.  No sound equipment is needed based on the acoustics indoors.  The dressing room downstairs had large mirrors and decent space.  The guys have a little room just down the hall.  Outside there are some small fountains and little paved paths.  Unless you are doing a custom elegant setup I don’t think you would need a day of coordinator though I think there was both Cathy and Patty.  While the afternoon lighting is a bit harsh on the back patio I think it would work well for an outdoor ceremony spot if around an hour before sunset.  If you go look at the website you may notice we are not an ‘approved vendor’ so don’t consider that you must use one on the list.  It is essentially the equivalent of a ‘recommended vendor’ list even though some verbiage in the agreement may indicate otherwise.

The Fort Review:

The Fort is just outside downtown Morrison or just off of 285 outside Denver.  Where else can you have a guy standing at the entrance with a gun, stocks, and a champagne bottle opened with a tomahawk.  Now this may sound manly or adventurous depending on your take on life.  The cocktail hour was outside in the courtyard at 5PM when they opened.  The reception meal was in the St. Vrain Room and St. Vrain Bar area.  The staff was awesome and very attentive.  Loved the trout, prime rib, and spare ribs!  For a dinner reception it works well but might be a little tricky if your looking for a classic dance floor / DJ party setup.  There is some space down by the fireplace by the bar but it is not the normal ‘dance floor’ feel.
