How You Surprise Your GirlfriendProposal Details:

The key to surprising her is to propose at a time and place she wouldn’t expect.  Taylor certainly surprised Kristy on their ski weekend here in Colorado.  He started researching her ring size years back and started planning with us 2 months in advance.  We considered a lot of different ideas for the proposal.  Everything from doing it in Denver, to Winter Park, and Dillon, and finally Breckenridge.

We ended up with a location just off of main street downtown Breck.  Normally in the summer kids are playing in the river but it was snowed over from the 5 feet of snow Breckenridge got a few weeks prior.   They got into town, parked, and went to Starbucks to get Kristy a hot chocolate.  Upon leaving our beloved Starbucks Taylor almost passed by the spot and needed to check the map we created for him.  Kristy wasn’t the most excited to step down there as the steps were snowed over and she had fallen in the past in similar conditions.

Taylor proceeded to tell her that if she came down there with him he would give her “a million dollars”.  I think Kristy would have emphatically said YES even if the proposal didn’t begin with a promise of financial security.  Since we believe in keeping true to our word and like to encourage that in others we thought we would note that Taylor . . .  You have a lifetime together ahead to hold true to the promise.  Congratulations Taylor and Kristy!
