We started with Harvey and Erin in Boulder, CO at the First Congregational United Church of Christ.  Things were a little slower coming together pre-ceremony than planned but everyone had fun.  For those having a fall Boulder wedding we recommend you check out the Colorado University (CU) game day schedule.  If there is a local game plan +30-45 minutes to get in town and the same if getting out later.  For a building built in 1864 it was well kept and beautiful.  They had 4-5 bags of rose petals lining the aisle.

The ceremony started with piano music and vocalists.  As people came down the aisle Harvey had smiles then started to tear up seeing Erin.  From there we did some family photos and went to Chautauqua Park with the bridal party.  The groomsmen and bridesmaids rolled up in a white limo and Harvey and Erin traveled in a 1960’s Rolls Royce Silver Spur.  At the Oxford the bridal party entered masked using the Photo Booth masks.  Dinner was a delicious soup and plated meals.  There was laughing, a slideshow, dancing, cupcakes being devoured, and some ambitious garter removal!

Vendor Review:

The reception at the Oxford Hotel was in the Grand Ballroom.  It is a little tricky to find when going in the main entrance but its a fun space.  It is sized to fit 170 seated in rounds but was certainly tight with much less people.  I would think 100 people would be the ideal size.  There was no real dance floor so you would just designate a space for it.  The staff was attentive and the food was excellent.  It is certainly a classy venue.  I think the perk of using the Oxford Hotel Downtown Denver is that you can step outside for night pictures in the street with Union Station in the background.

Studio Carrasco Films is highly recommended for your wedding videography!  Andy took a less traditional approach to telling the story of the wedding day which we think looks MUCH better for wedding videography.  We believe you should have people around you on your wedding day that help you have fun, relax, and who are highly personable.  Andy certainly added to the experience of the wedding day!  Check out the Wedding Video on Vimeo.

They had a bride and groom sized wedding cake and deserts from French for Sugar for the guests.  Awesomely yummy bite sized cupcakes, chocolate covered pretzels and gourmet cookies.  They artistically crafted and had some many awesome flavors.  Doing something like this can save on the cost of a wedding cake and it gives a variety of deserts for guests.  Some other vendors used for the day were Fabulous Functions by Carla, Cherrie with Cherry Blossoms Florist, and Randy with StutterBooth, Patience with Bella Scratch for DJ services, and the cake from Kristina with Aspen Charm.
