We Wish They Could Get Married Every WeekWedding Details:
Alan and Jessica are the kind of couple that helps you love marriage, weddings, and make you wish you could do it every week! A box of tissues likely was spent on the emotion exhibited. It was a joy over the deep love for one another, sorrow for some dear loved ones that passed away 8 years ago, emotion in a father daughter first look, and joy from the cherished memories of life! A wedding day will rarely go perfectly and I think the reaction to things show what you value.
It rained – sometimes drizzle and then a downpour. The outdoor wedding didn’t happen but the venue adapted and no one visibly freaked out. (If you did good job evading the cameras!) Alan and Jessica had fun, were married, and were able to celebrate with their many guests! There was a bit of a fall theme showing up with the carved pumpkins, leaf decor, orange flowers, and even the lighting. They had an open bar, Photo Booth, cupcakes for dessert, and delicious plated steak or chicken entrees. The pre-wedding beverage of choice for the guys was Knob Creek and for the women Fireball.
We loved Jessica’s dress as it had flow to it but yet it allowed her to freely move with grace. Oh and she looked stunning! Due to the rain we did a post wedding shoot for them on the house. Jessica was already thinking of doing a trash the dress session and we were already thinking of seeing if they wanted to model for a future promo video (Win-Win). This also allowed them to not worry about rain and celebrate. As you will see they did a great job enjoying the day!
Pines at Genesee Review:
The Pines at Genesse is close to Denver Colorado just inside the mountains in Golden! We didn’t get to experience the outdoor ceremony site but the inside is gorgeous for weddings. We love the dark wood floor and tall windows. While it makes shooting a little more difficult due to reflection it adds to the atmosphere.
Even though we were not supposed to have used the first floor for the ceremony Lindsay (Coordinator) and Vivian were flexible and allowed it. They were setup for another wedding and though it created more work for them they changed things up. Things had great flow throughout the day despite slightly different itineraries between different people. Food was delicious and the staff was on the ball.
It was the second time we had worked with Brian from Jammin DJs and we would highly recommend him. His lighting setup really adds to the room feel with the uplighting. It is a rather elaborate setup that I think is centrally controlled and wirelesses managed for the uplighting. More than just good gear is the skill to be classy and professional in being a master of ceremony coupled with the ability to keep the dancing going. He did this last time as well and it made for an excellent ceremony! If you want a good party – get Brian!
