Proposal Sapphire Point Overlook Dusk
Dusk Proposal at the Sapphire Point Overlook
Proposal Details:
It is somewhat a luck of the draw to make shoots work at the Sapphire Point Overlook for a proposal. The main implication is that the trail is well packed down for a reason. That reason is that there is always someone there. In think case there were 3 different groups that were hanging out. It fit his vision for it and in the case we were open due to the nature of the circumstances. All this to say if you look online and are sold on this spot get in line. While I say that half as a joke we have seen it happen so for that reason we have alternative nearby options that are actually far better in most ways.
When they got down there you could tell she did not know what was about to happen. Some friends were with them and in on it. The reaction of raw emotion was what makes us love proposals. The photos afterward were the classic example of why proposals are far better than the traditional engagements. There is this energy that you just cannot fake or make up. Kinda like as if there was electricity shooting out of the finger tips there is this deep seated surge of excitement.
This was a short shoot. Perk is this saves on the total cost for the guy but it also can get the peak excitement. Really all of this will come down to what you can do as a photographer based on experience and what the couple brings. One perk related to the winter months is that it keeps everyone from freezing. Granted it was not crazy cold out but just lets you keep from that red nose kind of look that comes with time. They did have some people with them and we will note that they were not in photos. That is the one consideration is that with a group you will often need more time as they unknowingly make it about them. The remedy is that the guy just sets expectations with them and you guys all do your stuff later.
You can get proposal ideas from reading past blogs and read about how we do proposals on our engagement proposals page. If you like what you see here and are considering using this location here are some of the other shoots we have done at the Sapphire Point Overlook.
