North Georgia Farm Wedding with Peak Fall ColorsWedding Details:

We absolutely love this wedding venue in North Georgia.  The Ruins on the Kellum Valley Farm make for a highly unique stone landscape.  It was a home that just has the foundation and fireplace left.  The farm house has a back entrance where the women have some space for getting ready.  There is a tent space in over there that looks to be an alternate for receptions.  The guys got ready in a barn.  There is a pool area with a fountain where guests can chat during cocktail hour. The wedding was on the lawn leading up to the stairs.  The reception space is in the ruins. It is an open air outdoor reception spot.  Overall everything is really well run and intentional.

The fall colors were at their peak. It was the early 20s of October.  The air was comfortable. It was the perfect sunny day.  We see a lot of photos that have that green or dark contrasty look so this certainly might be a different flair for this venue.  We love color and capturing the day how it actually looked.  The mountains of Georgia are certainly different than Colorado but still quite beautiful.

They started with some getting ready photos in their separate spaces.  The guys had some photos of them followed by the women.  They did not see each other before the ceremony.  The ceremony was filled with joy and laughter.  On the exit they tossed some seeds at them.  Thankfully the aisle was nice and wide to reduce guests aim for the face.  We took some photos all over the venue.  Their flowers were tasty per a horse.  The reception was under the night sky so required a little supplemental lighting.  Overall it is something we are highly comfortable with due to the many wilderness area weddings we have done in Colorado.

We had shot there proposal over in the Sapphire Point Area in Colorado.  That is where we are based but we have a family home about 70 miles away so travel out to this location is fairly low cost.  I note that as if you find this blog and you like what we do the total cost might still be comparable to locals.  The perk for them was that they got some bonus time on the front end of the wedding day due to arriving a little early to check things out.
