Surprise Proposal at Fish Creek Falls in SteamboatProposal Details:

Steamboat gets a lot of snow in the winter.  This one was no exception as the packed snow was about 4 to 5 feet deep at Fish Creek Falls.  The main impact was that it changed a little of the method of how it was shot.  We functionally were in a deep hole without the ability to see the couple.  The trail was well packed.  Oddly this snow pack went beyond the spot were there is no trail.  People tried to go that way then fell in the snow up a huge hill.  This time of year the waterfall was still frozen over though it was fairly warm. There was a blue sky and for once a lack of snow drifting across rabbit ears pass.  All that to say the car still got sideways on the way back.

The proposal was quite the surprise and we got a slew of images of it. While the raw candid emotion is priceless our favorite part is the reaction to him pointing out the hidden photographer.  The playful elated joy is so much fun to capture. Seeing some people try to recreate it you cannot really do it. As you will see afterward we got some engagement style photos.  Crazy how due to the high emotion how we can get just as much as some planned engagement sessions is such a shorter time.
