Proposal Clinton Gulch Dam Reservoir | February
Proposal with Playfulness WelcomedProposal Details:
Proposals by nature are high emotion. When a couple has a strong playful connection you get what is above. Maybe there was an inside joke. Perhaps it is extreme joy. Either way they had periods of uncontrolled laughter. Most proposals are heightened in this element for 30 minutes. It is so awesome that it makes engagements feel different for a photographer. We love engagements but nothing replaces the just engaged feeling. It is in part why we are such an advocate for proposals. If done right you can check the proposal moment and engagement photo boxes.
This is off of a frozen lake. In the winter they use it for ice fishing. There were a couple guys out there who cut some new holes. They got down to the proposal spot. It was an easy YES. After the proposal the guys offered them a celebratory beer. Little did the guy know that I made a nice path in the snow. He stepped off the island into a deep snow drift. Well likely waist deep. When you fall its then neck deep.
We had a great day for photography. There was a lot of sun with a little light clouds. The air was cool but the sun made it warm. They had a ton of fun with each other. The camera loves that kind of joy. It is this balance of giving enough direction but them just going with it.
You can get proposal ideas from reading past blogs and read about how we do proposals on our engagement proposals page. If you like what you see here and are considering using this location here are some of the other shoots we have done at Clinton Gulch.
