Fall Colors in the Brainard Lake AreaBrainard Lake Area Couples Session Details:

This pop of fall colors was in the area around Brainard Lake outside of Ward. What is quite bizarre is this normally comes in the August timeframe.  The aspens however turned later this year in this area.  We had planned for another spot but the weather was not going to work out so we changed it up.  In the end this was a new place to shoot for us near the Brainard Lake Recreation Area where we shoot all the time.  It was a couples session after the wedding.  We always love getting to work with them.  Their dog Bear is always fun and built like a tank.

We took photos in many different places based on the lighting and trees.  The mountains were shaded in the back adding to the contrast of the bright golden yellow from the aspens.  It was the perfect weather kind of day.  If you are thinking of this for an engagement session it could certainly work splitting some time with the lake shots.  Things come and go fairly quick so its one of those where one needs some flexibility in dates.
