Sapphire Point Engagement | September
Sapphire Point Engagement in SeptemberEngagement Session Details:
Sapphire Point is not a fall colors location. The surrounding area in September does have a lot of good color. This shoot was in the peak of fall colors for the area. The year was a bit different than other years we think due to the amount of rain. The key idea is more rain equals means less fires and smoke. While talk of rain in September may scare you away know precipitation can happen at any point day year round regardless of the weather pattern. The colors were looking really good though with the cold nights and sunny days.
They had two outfits and just wanted a little bit of photos in the first outfit. We did a third – two thirds clothing ratio. We are at that efficiency level in photography that its not as much about how much time but what a couple brings. They brought some good playfulness but also seemed to appreciate it not being a long shoot. We actually find the more you can do in less time is best for the guy. While this might sound odd we do not think you should always book the longest shoot duration in your budget.
The day was gorgeous. We were able to get down to the Overlook. While we make it look secluded it was certainly not empty. We think it was a petal peeping group that might have rented out the space. Everyone was older and coming down to the Overlook with cameras and tripods. They were gracious and let us shoot without saying anything.
If you like what you see here and are considering using this location here are some of the other shoots we have done at Sapphire Point.
