Rocky Mountain Engagement Session in BoulderEngagement Session Details:

Occasionally someone picks a spot for an engagement session based on a certain type of photo you have done there.  For this shoot up on Lost Gulch Overlook we occasionally will do a shot from a distance to pull in some front range mountains and create layers.  Normally this is one of those things we do kinda last minute as it really depends on how many people are hanging out on the rocks which is quite a few most days.

In this case it was a look she really wanted so we planned for it.  An interesting first for us is that we brought radios that work up to 30 miles away so that we would be able to more easily communicate.  For a bystander you would likely think the couple is crazy or what the heck is going on as someone is coaching over a radio on poses.  It is a really bizarre type of thing and makes me want to get something like a 600mm lens for proposals so I can shoot from another mountainside.  We did some more photos in the blue dress before changing up the attire to something a bit more casual.
