Proposal | Long Lake | September Ward
Multiple Surprises in a ProposalProposal Details:
Do you ever have those times when you cross paths with someone you know but its so out of place that you really do not know what to say? Well in the irony of life when we got to the spot of the lake there was a couple hanging out. As per my normal if someone is in the spot someone would be planning to propose I give the woman in the group a heads up on what will soon go down.
This is one of those places where less people are flowing through so when the couple about to propose passes this other couple what are the chances that they will know each other when you flew in from out of state? Well we would say now that this is possible as the guy was a professor of his from school in Louisiana. What ensues is some awkwardness as you are thinking about where you are going for the proposal and the guy you know is putting it together that you are the guy about to propose to your girlfriend. So that was certainly a first.
The proposal itself was pretty quick around 6 seconds from going down to getting back up off the knee. This just meant she was really sure about her answer with the quick and sure ‘Yes – you are going to make me cry’. On our end it make for getting less variety between the photos. While some might say cameras can do 6+ photos per second it doesn’t mean that you can get 36 photos of it. The lighting changed mid way through the proposal and we used multiple cameras and focal lengths. For afterward we have a smoke free shoot as things had been tampered down a bit.
Long Lake is in the Brainard Lake Recreation Area and one of the couple mountain lakes. If you like the look of this location here are some other shoots at Long Lake. You can get proposal ideas from reading past blogs and read about how we do proposals on our engagement proposals page.
