Twin Lakes Fall Engagement
Epic Fall Colors Engagement at Twin LakesEngagement Details:
If you are looking for an engagement session in the Colorado Mountains with fall colors the peak is a short window. Anthony and Katie got the perfect timing at the perfect location. If you say Twin Lakes, CO you are most likely thinking ‘Where?’ It is between Breckenridge and Aspen in the middle of no where with a population of 171. No that is not 171 million or thousand but a literal 171 people live nearby.
As you might guess this middle of no where makes it more secluded than other locations that are overrun with people wanting to surround themselves in the yellow Aspen leafs. As it is is further out they had a bigger package which afforded going to more locations, changing clothing more, and just getting more variety. We started at the lake near to the White Star Campground and got some photos along the rocky lake shore. It was very windy but the water was a gorgeous blue to match the blue sky.
From there we made our way back toward the main highway and stopped on a hillside and had a change of clothes before going further back behind the lakes where beer refreshments were served. The wind was still around but less at this point and the red dress came back out. Their dog was so good and focused in on getting photos.
We stopped alongside the road and took some other photos for what most would think ‘where was that’ and the answer was the background was super far away at the base of Mount Elbert but we shot at 300mm which compressed the background making it seem closer. You can see a little of the distance when seeing the photos of them walking back. The last place was a campground off of Tourquoise Lake up West of Leadville where we used the last outfit.
If you like what you see here and are considering using this location here are some of the other shoots we have done at Twin Lakes.
