Willow Ridge Manor Wedding | Spring
Spring Jewish Wedding at Willow Ridge ManorWedding Details:
It has been said that for a Wedding the bride will set the tone of the day. For Jeremy and Shayanne that was certainly the case. There is something about Robin getting a big excited bride hug as they popped out of the car when arriving at the venue. What is really speaks to is how the day was relaxed, focused on what was happening, and about having a great time with the people there at the wedding. So often things could get stressed, self focused, or trying to make the perfect day.
If something went wrong on their wedding day I am not sure we knew or that it would have mattered. This was the next adventure in the string of many adventures. I guess after traveling the world and encountering things like running out of money and needing to hike across the border of a country and getting robbed at machete point something trivial being off really seems like what it would be – silly. Perhaps it is more that it is about the memories as seen by her chasing down the thieves that robbed her to try to get her camera card back because the memories were what was important?
Cue up photography. We love love (did we say love?) getting all the formal type photos in pre-ceremony as it allows a couple to just go right into the cocktail hour with their guests. When getting there the women got in the dresses and the guys worked on a bottle upstairs. We had a first look followed by some bridal party photos. Someone had wanted some formal bridal photos and so we got those followed by playful groom photos with the bouquet. The really nice part of photos pre-ceremony was getting family in ahead of time. Often this is not the case because the extended family is not all around.
The wedding was a Jewish – Christian Wedding which made for an interesting blend of wedding traditions. It was officiated by a groomsman and an aunt. We love getting to hear stories like theirs where they met at school at a happy hour social activity that the groom arranged. The comedy of it is that he is not the social butterfly as noted in the ceremony.
As the story goes they shared and Uber ride home and that got things started. Not all people though think they were the best fit as illustrated by the best men speech (yes plural). Per the best men they believed they were a better fit for him as the logic went that he looked so much better because of them in his life. Sarcasm might not come out well in writing but to give more perspective we also heard that he did his own circumcision.
Willow Ridge Manor Review:
We think the Willow Ridge Manor venue must attract good parties because that is consistently what we have gotten up to this point. Gregory + Lawrence take great care of their venue with an attention to detail but we think what makes this more unique is they bring a personal touch to things while not interfering as a ‘coordinator’ sometimes does.
When considering the potential reasons for the parties being good one factor we have not vetted out is that with the layout everyone is close to the dance floor so people do not hide away on the other side of the room or in a different space. Coupled with a good DJ this will keep the party going. As you might guess we LOVE shooting at Willow Ridge. Here is our other work at Willow Ridge Manor.
