Boulder Mountain Sunset at Lost Gulch OverlookEngagement Details:

The weather during an Engagement Session can change quickly in the Colorado Mountains.  The start of the shoot for Dylan and Lindsay had more of a cloudy weather look as the sun dropped behind some clouds.  While for most photographers this may be their dream we were a bit bummed as it was sunny when we arrived and as sun makes things pop a bit more.  This also means we can use the flash to get more unique looking images up at Lost Gulch on Flagstaff Mountain.

They invited their dog and a friend with her dog to be the dog holder.  As the sun came out at sunset things switched over to what we call sun drenched.  This is when there is an over saturation of light.  It only can happen at certain angles with a particular lens so if you do not love it there is only so much time to get it as it is a limited time kind of shot.  It creates that orange glow look which is super unique in images.
