Proposal Lost Gulch Overlook | Winter | Boulder, CO
Gorgeous Spring Morning Proposal in Colorado at Lost Gulch OverlookProposal Details:
If you are not a morning person we know a couple things that might make you one for at least a day. David and Jenny were in Colorado from Chicago. From what we recall one or both of them were not morning people. With the blue skies that you get in the early morning giving added contrast to the white snow capped mountains it is hard to not be a morning person. Beyond that the main thing that would inspire you to love the morning for a day is getting a nice shiny engagement ring.
They made their way to Lost Gulch Overlook and over to a spot where we are rather hidden away. It clearly was a YES and the background in the photos was rather epic. When I was pointed out she had a little personality come out by sticking that finger up in the air in a solo fashion. From a distance this looks like a flick off move as she thought I was a friend taking photos. To give some perspective at the distance the photos were being taken it was hard to tell who I was hence the hand gesture.
We had some additional fun with that 300mm lens as I placed them out on the rocks where most people go then went across the road and shot through some trees. People really will have no clue what you are shooting at this point. Lighting wise we add in a splash of flash to make it pop a bit more.
You can get proposal ideas from reading past blogs and read about how we do proposals on our engagement proposals page. If you like what you see here and are considering using this location here are some of the other shoots we have done at Lost Gulch Overlook on Flagstaff Mountain. One thing to note is this is what we call the ‘alternate spot’ down a side trail.
