Ten Mile Station Wedding | July | Breckenridge
It is Raining Men at Ten Mile StationWedding Details:
You know it was a good wedding when you can barely get out of bed the next day. For Mike and Kevin they did what we love the most at weddings – they made the day their own. This means they left out a lot of that silly wedding stuff and focused in on what mattered most to them. There was a little bit of rain in the area around the time of getting to the venue. This made things a little more limited in what we could do, where we could do it, and when we could do it. The sun came out in the perfect timing for the ceremony so that the chairs could be dried off and guests could be seated. Champagne was served prior to the ceremony and the bar was open. Beer was in the hands of the grooms / groomsmen most of the day. The flower-man was absolutely hilarious and he owned that part fully with playfulness and grace. The ceremony background was awesome as always.
When it came to the reception some more personality came out with the Weather Girls playing ‘It’s Raining Men’ as they entered. The tables were set with names of their favorite places to travel. As there were a lot of places and most of them all over the world you can tell travel was a big part of their relationship. As for some other random things dinner started exactly on time which is kinda amazing when you have it down to the minute. Special shout out to Ebs with Distinctive Mountain Events for the excellent execution on the wedding planning end. She had the perfect balance of involvement but not seeking to control every detail. As for another main non venue vendor there was Raising Canes. Wow – can they throw a party. I think the thing that sets apart a good bad from an awesome one is their interaction with the guests. You want good music, them to be able to throw a good party, excellent execution, but the stuff that creates energy is a large part how they interact. Add to that Mr. Alcohol being invited and it was a lively party filling the dance floor the whole time.
