Mon Cheri Wedding
Rustic Mountain Wedding at Mon CheriWedding Details:
How many weddings have a logo? For Josh and Jaclynn it was 2 J’s with the last name initial. You would find this logo on various things whether it was a sign, back of a belt, and most interestingly a branding iron. Some people like to tie the knot whereas with the branding iron you would think the aim was to brand the bride or something. Thankfully the hot iron never got any closer to skin than a boot. The wedding was overall fairly chill with a beer in the hand of the groom and groomsmen almost the whole day. No surprise to hear how many kegs they went through during the wedding. The ceremony was full of laughter sprinkled with some tears. Playfulness filled the day from the goofy wedding party to eating cake off the brides chest.
Mon Cheri Review:
While it is just off the road from Lyons to Estes Park the venue is tucked back in there and does not feel like it. Mon Cheri is attached to the back of the Colorado Cherry Company. There is a lake that the wedding ceremony site backs up to and a really friendly neighbor to the property who personally welcomed our using her land if needed. The venue brands itself as a mountain rustic venue and our take is they must mean the rural side of the definition as it does have a classy feel to it with the rustic tones. For their size of wedding the tent was a little tight for dinner as they did not spread out onto the dance floor like you might see at some weddings. As the night went on they opened up the tent a little more and people spread out to play some games, smoke some cigars, and drink lots of beer. The staff are very attentive and give a personal touch. Great experience shooting there and loved what we could get with some sunset photos.
