Romantic Vail Proposal In Colorado MountainsProposal Details:
Having got the engagement ring it was time for the proposal planning to begin. Michael had the vision for proposing to Dori with some key elements of photography, a violinist playing a particular song of meaning to them, rose petals, and Colorado. What he ended up getting were two photographers, a string quartet, a dozen roses that were plucked down to the petals, champagne to celebrate, and a hidden video to capture it all in the Colorado Mountains. The day started on the slopes with what sounded like a crazy videographer skier who typically does adventure videos. The goal was to do more of a romantic video. This is what we would call hiding the plans out in the open so that the unexpected is expected.
They ended the day early because of ‘jet lag’ from traveling the world. The plans were to go over to one of his friends homes in Vail for dinner and some pre-dinner drinks. The dress attire for this dinner was mountain chic so she was all set in her cute dress and boots. They took and Uber over and got dropped off nearby. They were walking down this path back and came around the corner to the Gore Creek Covered Bridge to find a string quartet playing their song just under the covered bridge.
Unique Proposal Setup
There were some rose petals on the ground in the proposal spot. The initial reaction seemed to be a question about if it was for her. There was this awesome emotional build that was absolutely perfect. Before the actual proposal there was the level of emotion starting to pour out that was to the level some women only can hit after the proposal. The reaction was by far one of the best we have seen. It was a well executed long emotion building kind of time getting engaged. The getting down on one knee was a quick and easy YES for her. The song continued to play and the emotion poured out. All while this is getting captured on video and via cameras.
They used Front Range Strings which was very accommodating and professional. We have talked to a lot of guys who want someone playing some kind of string instrument. In the winter this is a really hard thing to get as outside of potential risk to the instruments there is this aspect of it being really cold and difficult to play. I think we had gone through 20 some people trying to find a group available and willing. They did great for playing a new to them song in cold temperatures with little prep time for sure.
You can get romantic proposal ideas from reading past blogs and read about how we do proposals on our engagement proposals page. For this proposal we carried a heavier role of proposal planner as there were more moving pieces that needed to come together. We guess you could consider us a proposal consultant as a on stop shop for helping you accomplish your vision for the Colorado proposal. If you like what you see here and are considering using this location here are some of the other shoots we have done in Vail and at the Gore Creek Covered Bridge.
