Proposal | Gore Creek Covered Bridge | Vail
Proposal at the Covered Bridge in VailProposal Details:
Have you ever heard of the woman taking her ring with her to the proposal in her purse? Andrew and Amanda have as that is how things played out for them in Colorado. They were staying in Avon just outside of Vail and had taken an Uber over to Vail Village. The proposal was over at the Gore Creek Covered Bridge near the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens. They were dropped off over at the Wren in Vail. From there it was a short walk to the bridge. We had cleared off the spot we pre-planned out for him to propose scraping the snow off the brick sidewalk. This was to minimize the wet knee on his dress pants. There was a video in a tree off to the side of the proposal spot. We shot the proposal with a 300mm lens in the field. This pulled back distance allows us to not be seen therefore get the candid authentic proposal emotion. He stopped her at the spot and spun her around for getting the ideal angle for the video and photography. We pre-plan these things out detailing them as it is a make or break type of thing with being able to get a secluded spot, real emotion that is priceless, get multiple angles with flexibility to adjust, and it being a natural place to go. After talking to her some he asked for her purse and pulled out the ring box. He got down on one knee and the YES came instinctively quick. They were on their way to dinner so were dressed up. He had her leave her coat thinking of getting ideal photos without a bulky coat on. They were rather good until the sun dropped. Next up was a late night dinner.
