Sapphire Point Elopement
Adventurous Couple Elopement at Sapphire PointElopement Details:
We playfully joke that an adventurous bride is one who wears high heels on cliff edges. Sometimes we find it is actually the reality as it was with Jimmy and Brooke on the day they got married. They were at a Cabin out in the Summit Valley area. He had not seen her that day yet so it was all her getting ready. Any woman who has never needed to lace up a wedding dress will know that it is likely something that may need your sister and mom. The perk about being a petite size though is you can do some rather incredible things and do not need to thread yourself in it. Somehow she was able to lace it up and then tighten it on her own. They say something is supposed to go wrong on the wedding day. I guess it would be the second car not starting so then needing to ride over to Sapphire Point together. As they pulled up all you could see was a woman head and some dress behind the wheel. It was awesome! He was blindfolded in the backseat and made his way down to the overlook. When she came down the trail he lit up with joy, amazement over her beauty, and this look of fighting back a tear or two. They self officiated their wedding which is perfectly legit in Colorado. Being the only other one around let me fill you in on it being beautiful. Afterward it was highlighted that they wrote their own vows separately. It was such that you would not have thought that as they were about the same thing. There was no talk of plagiarism and they were rather personal so not downloaded online. All this points to the nature of their relationship. We first met them at the proposal at Brainard Lake. Seeing them again for the wedding was like round 2 on the same level of joy and playfulness between them.
We did the elopement at Sapphire Point which is centered between Dillon, Frisco, Keystone, and Breckenridge. We did it in the morning which is of course colder but allows for not really having the potential to conflict with another possible wedding ceremony. This lets you functionally save $110 in the “reservation” for the spot. If you like what you see here and are considering using this location here are some of the other weddings we have done at the Sapphire Point Overlook as well as shoots at Sapphire Point. Here is our Guide to Weddings at Sapphire Point Overlook which gives specific details about the location as well as examples by month. If you are thinking of doing something similar check out our mini wedding or elopement photography.
