Gorgeous Fall Golf Course Wedding in LittletonWedding Details:

While we think certain weddings can get by with one photographer we think having two primary photographers makes a huge difference.  For Brandon and Karen they had multiple times where it would have been impossible to be in two places at once or if you did not have two primary photographers you would have missed something.  As context we currently use 4 camera body and learned early on that you need to get them in sync down to the exact second.  When going through edits we therefore do not need to normally put images in order unless it is a bunching of details.  All that to say there was an uncoordinated bridesmaid champagne toast and groomsmen beer toast at the exact same time.  As we like to celebrate firsts this was a first for us to have simultaneous bridal party groups toasting.  As for some other things that they needed two photographers for was the being able to get the moments with her dad before coming out while being able to get people coming down the aisle such as the best dog in their cufflinks and their adorable daughter.  There are those other times throughout the day that you can see the huge difference it makes having two perspectives on things.  All this to say just having a second photographer does not mean you would receive the same quality work.

We loved the wedding day!  It felt like a little bit of a continuation of when her sister was married a month before but yet at the same time it was very different and had its unique feel.  The main thing that seemed to be the string of continuity was having 1/2 of the family be the same.  The day was amazingly beautiful to be out in.  Fall was upon us and the leaves were in the perfect bright yellow but going to all fall off in a day.  We think the tree behind the bridal party lost half of the orange leaves it had white we were taking photos over by the ceremony site.  They had some getting ready photos followed by a first look.  For the first look he was blindfolded with an American flag handkerchief.  This was later used to dry his tears at the sight of how gorgeous his bride looked.  Really a lot of the day was like that with just rich joy, laughter, and such sweet passion that squeezes out some tears.  Going through the images for the first time we confess there was some tearing up in happiness seeing their love for each other.

As for some other unique things there was a table in honor of the fallen solider.  While we have had a number of couples with one or both in the military but have not had this beautiful display of honor for the one who has made the ultimate sacrifice.  The toasts had a lot of flair to them with things like the story about their first date where she was invited to a Broncos game with him though he did not have tickets.  He got tickets and sent a selfie to his mom with some kind of caption saying his future wife.  This had not been revealed to her till the wedding day.  While you might read this and think creepy stalker kind of things get to know them and you will just see they are such an awesome confident fit.

The Barn Raccoon Creek Review:

This was our second wedding at Raccoon Creek Golf Course.  The two weddings were very different as the first was on the lawn by the tent with the reception in the tent.  The space flows really well with the women getting ready in the cottage that has that clean elegant white and classy look to it.  The guys were upstairs in the barn which had good space to it and unlike many places was not unbearably hot.  They had the ceremony down by the cottage and the grass had leaves scattered all over.  The cocktail hour was up on the lawn just outside the reception in the barn.  It was a gorgeous day with the blue skies and sun – no photoshopping performed of the images of the venue below.  So clearly we believe the venue was gorgeous.  With the first wedding the day of coordinator was rather non existent and the couple were heavily relying on her.  The nature of a coordinator should be that they coordinate what is needed.  While I feel things were well coordinated we did not see a lot of front end coordination.  Everything seemed to flow well but if you depend on the venue staff to do things like get you a beer, go talk to the bride about where the special socks got put, or to send couples down the aisle it does not seem like that is what they do there.  All this to say it comes down to expectations.  If you like what you see here and are considering this venue check out our other work at Raccoon Creek.
