Taharaa Mountain Lodge Wedding | Fall | Estes Park, CO
Estes Park Mountain Lodge WeddingWedding Details:
While we would love to say all wedding days have a bright sun and puffy white clouds that is not always true. For Jason and Carlee we never heard anything about the weather not turning out as planned. Some guests were loving a rainbow that crossed the sky and as it is Colorado people still loved the view. With it being one of those rare rainy weekends the main change was that the ceremony was on the covered deck rather than outside like normal. It was the second ceremony we have done on the deck. Being a smaller group there was a lot of room to accommodate the bridal party up front. If our talking about rain makes you feel uneasy know that they have a solid contingency plan that does not involve rearranging your whole reception hall. Despite the weather we still were able to venture out into the mountain fields surrounding the venue. We were more limited in our time due to the short window between the sprinkles. They embraced the adventurous spirit though and took some time to enjoy each other before getting back to the party.
When you go in to get some getting ready photos and there is a groomsman in his vest with the bow tie you know it will be memorable night. It was said that they were going to get back to the point by the end of the night. The reception was lively with some emotion. Overall it made for getting some good candids which we love. The dancing had a slow start but a building to a climatic finish. Later at night we made it out for some night photos using the venue for the background. As you might guess when the song about it getting hot in here so take off all your clothes started to play things got back to vests and bow ties.
Taharaa Mountain Lodge Review:
Love it there! It is a good thing that we love shooting at the Taharaa Mountain Lodge because we have shot there a lot. It is one of those venues were we know how to make things work well in the space. It is a refinement kind of thing like when you see flower bouquets without jars and you know know you can put them on the coat rack on the wall. As always they were great to work with and delivered a consistently awesome service. If you would like to see some other work at the venue check them out on our blog.
This might be the first wedding where we had worked with all the vendors before. When in Estes Park we tend to work with a lot of the same people as they are good at what they do and it is clear to couples. For a DJ they had Joe with Gotta Dance DJs. He is highly recommended! Has a good read of the group and does more than just play songs but rather mixes the music. More importantly he is consistent in delivering quality. There is also this thing of going out of his way to make the night happen. To keep toasts on time he assisted with the pour of some champagne for guests. We also had Jubilations Catering for what felt like the 50th time? They provide some scrumptious fuel for the wedding day but also good service. We see the same people a lot so that also communicates people like working for them which speaks to the company.
