Downtown Denver Engagement | Wynkoop Bridge
Playful Engagement Downtown DenverEngagement Session Details:
The camera loves a couple that enjoys a good cuddle. For Alex and Ciaran it would be an understatement to say it was a fun shoot. We met up at 15th and Wynkoop closer to sunset. We love shooting in this area as there are generally less people around outside of the random cyclist buzzing across the Cherry Creek Trail bridge. We think that is the official name but with anything online you can make it be the local name. Another name is the Wynkoop Railroad bridge but as their are no trains or tracks the name does not fit as much. Either way the sun backlights the couple really well and makes for some good leading lines with the bridge beams. After shooting there we went toward Union Station and got some photos in the street. What we enjoy with this is the flash can make the couple pop some with the blur of the background with buildings downtown. Something new we tried as it was summer was shooting through the fountains outside on the Union Station plaza. There was this urge inside to step out in the middle of the fountains and get the timing just right for photos but then this little voice inside saying you do not have the timing down and ‘weather sealed’ doesn’t mean ‘foundation cannon sealed’. When then looped back down by the bridge for some more photos in the sun to wrap things up. We see a lot of couples and love when they just fall into each others arms like they did. Less direction was needed because they looked good in their photos on their own. This made for more natural looking pictures and more of them in less time.
If you like what you see here and are considering doing something similar here is our work involving the Bridge at Wynkoop Street and our other work Downtown Denver.
