Botanic Gardens Denver ProposalProposal Details:

Graduate from school before you get engaged.  That was the plan and for John and Victoria is was a matter of hours from the University of Denver graduation.  They had been dating 5 years up to this point so it really could happen at any point.  Did she see it coming – well not at the exact moment but in her words he was acting a little weird.  Weird is a good thing when it comes to getting down on one knee and asking the woman you love to marry you.  We have said that if this is a normal thing we should sit down and talk about the delivery or something cause it should not be the norm in your relationship.  There was this gitty hand to the mouth and throw the head back kind of elated joy that kept flowing out throughout the shoot.

It went down in the Japanese Garden in the back corner.  It the place he wanted to do it but was also a favorite place for us as it is rather open with a body of water running through it.  We mapped it out and picked a spot across the water to allow for use of a 300mm lens to be pulled back, ability to get backlit lighting that was clean, and the reflection of them in the water. If you are loving this place know that while the Botanic Gardens is a unique and beautiful location there is a slightly higher cost from permitting requirements.
