Mt Princeton Hot Springs Wedding | Nathrop, CO
Colorado Mountain Location to Get MarriedWedding Details:
We are extremely passionate about getting to shoot in the mountains. For Ronnie and Karla their wedding reflected a lot of the things they are passionate about. Gary was definitely highlighted as the one who runs the home multiple times in both the ceremony and shoe game I am thinking that could denote wedding involvement. Gary seems to be such a part of the day to day that you would think SHE would be planning the wedding. For those who might not get the irony . . . Gary is a female cat that is a package deal in the marriage. Starbucks was also noted in the ceremony as that was the place they met. Did the story go like ‘Karla was sitting in the corner drinking her grande half caf blonde skinny soy extra hot no whip latte while stroking her cat Gary. Ronnie came up and said how much he loves cats and how he always wanted to be a part of ones life. From there he talked to Gary for an hour and got her collar tag to look up where she lived and’ . . . Well hopefully you get that we are just being ridiculous and trying to start a playful rumor. If nothing else we surmise that things might be rather opposite. . . . Snowboardingwas not a part of their wedding day. There was snow however still on Mt Princeton so we could have made things interesting and done a little snow / rock boarding.
Other passions like Donuts where a part of the wedding day. They had a custom made rack of donuts with poles to slide the donuts onto. (Eat your heart out Pinterest bride who loves donuts and needs to borrow an idea.) The overall desire for our part in the wedding day was to get what we love getting the most – the candid real authentic in the moment type of photos of both them and the friends and family at the wedding. While we certainly sought to do a minimal amount we think it ultimately will come down to the couple just being lost in the day and enjoying it with each other. As for a couple other blog worthy mentions from the wedding day . . . Breakfast for dinner at a wedding. Yes – that was awesome. Shoe game results are that you may be hesitant on the response initially but pretty much agree on things. She wanted to look back to see what he was doing and he wanted to add a caveat or description to the answer.
Mount Princeton Hot Springs Review:
Demand for a location is the best review. We heard from a couple guests that because they procrastinated on booking the venue was full. Whenever we have been there the place is rather active. While this may sound like an inconvenience we find people book their weddings further out that random vacationeers and really we have never seen any random people around the Pavilion area. Why is there such demand? Mt Princeton Hot Springs is at the base of a 14er with a good 5000 foot elevation change. That should be enough but there is also a natural hot spring there that makes for a romantic getaway location. For weddings the space is clean and large. There is variety for those who want to get married on the lawn and for those who want to do it indoors. Cost wise things are not overly pricey in comparison to other venues with a less amazing view. The staff has been attentive and professional. When people are serving you the reality is you want to not even notice them. How they found the wedding venue? From what we believe we remember it was from some hiking and camping out there in the mountains. Outside of something like that you likely will not drive by it as you are tucked away in a beautiful mountain location.
