South Mesa Trailhead | Engagement | Boulder
Boulder CO Engagement SessionEngagement Session Details:
Can you tell that we started in the backyard? For Antonio and Shannon the original plan was to do it the next day in RMNP. The forecast was mixed clouds and winds up to 21 mph [translation: 30-40 mph in the higher elevation locations]. While we love some dramatic look in photos Shannon blowing away in her dress was not the ideal look. So in the backyard (where her mom got married) we took some pictures before going down the road to the South Mesa Trailhead. In the spring there are some flowers blooming on the bushes as well as the other things to work with such as a bridge, the mountain flatirons, a field, a building, and South Boulder Creek. The water temperature in the spring is fairly mild but still warm enough to kick off the sandals and get in for the sake of getting the right angle. From the engagement session we saw some playfulness, a little bit of the adventurous side, as well as the main thing you want – feeling comfortable snuggled up. One thing observed that almost always translates into an awesome wedding day for the couple, family, and friends is when the couple gets lost in the moment with each other when they are looking at each other. What that means is certain couples get less focused on the event with what is needing to be done, about to come next, but rather more focused on the people and enjoying the day together.
If you like this location here is another shoot at South Mesa Trailhead. You can also see other shoots in the Boulder area.
