Mountain Proposal Before Romantic Brunch on SlopesProposal Details:
We had been wanting to use this mountain proposal spot for 2 years. It has the mountain view, two Gondola rides back on the slopes, ability to go in street clothes, and is a destination with a romantic reservation type restaurant. For Grant and Tiffany they love snow, mountains, and Keystone. The winters in Colorado make it hard to get a good mountain view in the Dillon / Breck / Keystone area. Most of the good views are accessible via a set of skis and someone who loves the outdoors. When you have been dating a lawyer woman for 4 years it is hard for her not to put details together to build a case for why they could be getting engaged. She nonetheless was wiping tears in the proposal. It might have been the blue bird day sun causing some tears throughout the shoot. As he got down on one knee some people came up near to the spot making it so we changed up the angle a tad and shot vertical to keep them out. Awkward for them to interrupt the proposal but makes for a good story. I think they might have said ‘congrats guys’ before she said YES. That is perhaps cause it was a clear success. If you think this is the case all the time here know anywhere (literally anywhere) in Colorado you might be alone then a mob of people come up. It is just how it is and so our take is to find more predictably empty spots that are natural to go.
You can get proposal ideas like this Romantic Brunch one from reading past blogs and read about how we do proposals on our engagement proposals page. If you like what you see here and are considering using this location here are some of the other shoots we have done at the Alpenglow Stube.
