Proposal | Garden of the Gods | Winter
Garden of the Gods Mountain ProposalProposal Details:
Colorado Springs is one of those places with a couple must see places to put on the bucket list. For Jeff and Leah there was a limited amount of time in the afternoon so they went with the one that was going to be the best for photos and nearby the Broadmoor hotel . . . The Garden of the Gods. While we are not sure if photos were discussed as a reason for picking that over another location she brought her DSLR and took about 25 minutes of photos walking through the red rock formations. When they got up to the spot she had him model as she got down low to the ground to try to get in the tall rock spires. They went beyond the spot at first which is always a little scary for the photographer as with the rocky terrain it is hard to get the ideal spot just anywhere. They came back to the ideal spot and as he got down on one knee it seemed she didn’t see that one coming.
There were a range of positive things like the hands to the face, the bending down forward from excitement, the tears, and the classic covering of the mouth to not shout out screaming for joy. We took some photos afterward. The weather was a bit normal for Colorado being very inconsistent when a front is rolling through. Pikes Peak was covered in clouds but we had a mix of sun, snowflakes, and clouds depending on the minute. All this to say we are thankful for the sun over something like white out snow conditions. Considering they were just getting to Colorado they likely already freshened up the snow pack in Park City, UT which was next up on the trip.
