Mountain Engagement, Proposals

Colorado Mountain Proposal on AnniversaryProposal Details:

When you start to propose and the look on her face interrupts your flow of thought you know it will be a YES.  For Nick and Marissa they were in Colorado from Florida.  They had just came out to the mountains from Denver.  They went down to this place called Sapphire Point Overlook.  It was a cloudy yet sunny day which has been more of a normal thing for ‘cloudy’ days.  It was still gorgeous enough out with the fresh snow on the trees and mountains in view for them taking some photos along the way down the trail.  When they got to the overlook they took some selfie photos.  As he pulled her close and started to recount how they  had been together 6 years the look was a mix of ‘I know what is happening’ mixed up with some ‘YES!’ and ‘Continue’.  Really to see that they can read each other is a really fun thing to see.  He restarted the proposal speech (can we call it that?) . . . Well we do not know if it was reversed in front of a mirror but I guess that or having note cards, a teleprompter, or something like that would make it a speech.  He had been trying to throw her off and mislead her on the timing of the proposal.  It is a little hard to do however when you know each other so well and your lives are so interwoven.  Really as illustrated by the photos her having some inclination that it might come was not a bad thing as she was still super happy and excited to have a ring on the finger.  If anything perhaps it inspired some nails being done or clothing being a little more intentional than normal.  Either way they looked cute.  As a side note unrelated to the  proposal . . . Marissa – You have beautiful hair and do not think you should chop it off.  Sure, it gets warm in Florida so maybe just a little trim but we love the hair. . . Nick – thank you for the IPAs!

You can get proposal ideas from reading past blogs from places like Sapphire Point and read about how we do proposals on our engagement proposals page. If you like what you see here and are considering using this location here are some of the other shoots we have done at the Sapphire Point Overlook.
