Winter Breckenridge Snowboarding ProposalProposal Details:

When you mix our love for skiing and snowboarding with photography you just made your photographers day.  For Terry and Alexis they were in Breckenridge on a trip.  There was this gorgeous ring to give and this idea to give it on the slopes.  We love the idea of proposing while skiing or boarding as it combines the Colorado mountain view in the winter with the element of surprise. Most women are thinking about the snow, where they are going, and the other people out on the slopes.  Now if she was in a dress skiing through enough rose petals to catch an edge with a full orchestra playing then perhaps she would think something.  If you are wondering why a full orchestra would be needed it is because you would need a lot of rose petals and you likely would be going fast enough to blow by just a violinist.  As you might guess we are thankful this was not in the planning as it would be difficult to pull off on a lot of levels.  Where do you get 1000 roses to pluck and will someone with a string instrument play in the cold in tune or while boarding?  Surely proposing while skiing is not for everyone but when he fell to his knee she fell to her knees with much emotion.  It was one of those things that many further up slope saw and shouted out in a celebratory cheer over.  We think it was because on this shoot they saw two photographers with big lenscameras capturing what was going down.  We find you can do proposals almost anywhere on the slopes but that certain places just are less ideal.  In peak times you can have more people running through.  With Peak 8 over by the Super Connect lift less people are riding that over therefore less are dropping in at that spot.  There is also a blue-green kind of slope there that goes to a pure green about mid way down.  Sure it looks like you are going over to a black but realistically that might just confuse her for a second and its worth not having a boarder buzz you while you propose.  After the proposal we did a run with them stopping in the trees and then got a ring photo at the bottom.
