Proposal | Sapphire Point Overlook | December | Sunrise
Colorado Sunrise Mountain Lake Overlook ProposalProposal Details:
When you forget your phone in the car and cannot take pictures of the amazing Colorado Mountain sunrise you have regrets. For Dylan and Natalie those regrets were short lived as there was a photographer down the trail in the woods. As he started to propose it was clearly evident he was pulling on her heart strings. There were a lot of sweet tears flowing.
One thing rather unique that we have not seen before was the perfectly times pulling off and tossing of the glove on her ring finger as he started to drop to one knee. In the race to the ground his knee beat the glove. It was a close race but I think there was more determination in his knee than the glove which simply fell. All that to say she likely saw it coming as he began to talk sweetly to her about them as evidence by the pre ring appearance tears.
She demonstrated great eagerness to get the ring on the finger. We are not thinking it was just that her finger stuck together and one glove fell off. Overall, it looked like an instinctive reaction to pull the glove. Where is this going now that we have wrote a book on a piece of fabric? Just a story about how some body language tells the story from the perspective of the one down the trail in the woods. When we were pointed out she pretty much denied that Alan (?) would be in the woods. She didn’t really look firmly down trail but eventually did after he reiterated that there was a photographer taking photos. She thought he was kidding.
For some photos afterward it was that really unique time of morning when the sun had rose up enough to light up the mountains behind them but hadn’t hit Sapphire Point. With the lake not completely frozen over the mountains and trees were reflecting in the still morning water. With our external flash in the morning light we were able to given them a warm pop of light while shooting to get the beautiful background.
You can get morning proposal ideas from reading past blogs and read about how we do proposals on our engagement proposals page. If you like what you see here and are considering using this location here are some of the other shoots we have done at the Sapphire Point Overlook.
