Proposal Denver Clock Tower Events | December
Romantic Night Proposal Location in DenverProposal Details:
This is the romantic place to propose Downtown Denver. Grant had just gotten in that day and Andie had just gotten into Colorado from Houston. After 8 years of dating anything out of the ordinary will produce this questioning in her head if it is going to happen. She took the light rail to downtown and then got herself ready at the Westin hotel. He was already at ‘the bar’ in the clocktower. She was next door at the hotel. Now if you think the bar was a stretch there is actually a bar setup in there on the 20th floor.
He did a lot of pacing before she made it up to the 17th floor. Between that and the drinks of water you could tell there was a tinge of nervousness. We love seeing this and think it is a really good thing because it speaks to his sincerity in the proposal and desire to get married. When she walked into the room on the 18th floor there was a calm sense of confidence. She was elated at the sight turning the corner. It is one of those where you either need to go completely out of the blue with the proposal or make her think its going to happen so much that she begins to doubt it.
Having done the Houston to Denver flight a number of times there is plenty of time to think ‘its going to happen!’ then to self doubt. When you walk into this room with backlit clock faces, rose petals on the floor, music playing, champagne on the table, your man in a suit, a photographer in the corner – you cannot help but think WOW and What is happening!?! or It is happening!?!
She was more elated with joy than we have seen in a while. She was very vocal with her excitement and even jumped out of pure happiness. Tears flowed and when the ring came out she was blown away by the beauty of the rock. As we have become diamond photography appraisers through these proposals we would definitely agree with her reaction – awesome flawless rock. She was shaking with happiness and just overwhelmed with joy.
Afterward we took some additional photos around the Denver Clock Tower. It is a really challenging place to shoot with the walls, furniture, and lighting – which is likely why we love shooting there so much. Probably our favorite floors are 18, 20, and 21. On 18 there is the clock face, on 20 a place where you can get a view of the downtown city lights if you do it at night, and on 21 it is a funky architecture. Overall you can use the location almost any time of day with renting it out but we find night can be really cool with the city lights. You can get Downtown Denver proposal ideas from reading past blogs and read about how we do proposals on our engagement proposals page. If you like what you see here and are considering using this location here are some of the other shoots we have done at the Clocktower.
