The Wedding Gift of BoudoirBoudoir Session Details:

Some brides choose to do a boudoir shoot as gift for their husband on the wedding day.  This was the case for J when she came to us to do a surprise boudoir shoot for her fiancé who proposed to her last February.  Not only did he propose, he also had us document the big moment with proposal photos.

The two of us talked about a number of hotels in Denver. She wanted a more rustic theme so we chose the Patterson Inn. The location has a boutique type setting with personalized service. It is the kind of atmosphere you will not receive in a regular hotel.  After the staff walked us to the room they brought in champagne. The room we chose was inspired by the gothic style of Prague.

The bed had some great cedar posts and iron cross beams that provided a sexy environment for a shoot. The desk and velvet drapes were a beautiful accent pieces to use during the shoot. We made use of the vintage tub mirrors to do some poses in discreet and creative ways. The rooms really have a unique charm that not every hotel can offer.  Overall, we would highly recommend Patterson Inn for an indoor photo session.

Preparing for the shoot is important. We mixed up the outfits in sexy ways like eliminating the bra and adding a cowboy hat for cover or taking a side angle to spice things up with some seduction.

With a variety of lingerie there are alot of possibilities. With many outfit changes you can take time away from the photography and can throw off the flow of the session if your frequently changing so we recommend a few options over many. The impact is that you will end up with less options in the given attire and overall less images as there is less time to shoot.
