Wedding Plan: Eat, Drink, and DanceWedding Details:
We underline the drink part since drinking part was one thing we saw throughout the day. David and Gianna held things together when it comes to the drinking whereas some of the guests were carted off. A groomsmen went down after dinner and a woman who I think was with a groomsmen dropped in the reception. There might have been a third person carried out but nonetheless without saying much else you could imagine how lively of a party it was throughout the day if multiple people have their face planted on the table.
We were going to start in Red Rocks Park but with it being the 4th of July, there being a concert there later, and well the venue being rather beautiful on red rocks out back it seemed good to skip that idea for simplification. The women started in a traditional Vietnamese dress. We took some photos out on the rocks down past the ceremony site. Beers were in hand at this point. Afterward going into the venue since the guys were dressed they devoured two bottles of Japanese Whiskey while the women changed out their clothing. During this period there was a short rain shower which quickly passed as they always seem to do in Colorado. Guest trickled in and were swirling all over taking photos.
The ceremony site was avoided till the last minute as the sun was beaming down on it warming things up. David got ring bearer and flower girl warning signs before Gianna came down the aisle. One key take away from the ceremony is ‘happy wife, happy life’. That came out in a couple different ways from both the officiant and David. Overall the remainder of the day was filled with a lot of dancing. Gianna was pretty much out on the floor almost the whole time except for some random Photo Booth excursions. We think she traded in the 4inch heels she adventurously trekked out on the rocks with for something lower but then again she fell a few times dancing so perhaps she stayed in some heels.
Willow Ridge Manor Venue Review:
We love shooting at this location as everything is close by and has good flow between the event locations. Probably our favorite thing is being able to take a couple or bridal party out on the red rocks for photos. It is something you cannot do many other places due to park restrictions. Gregory puts a lot of care and attention into the day and is highly personable with the couple. The venue has a classical feel to it. The rooms upstairs have a light and flowery antique decor for the women’s bridal suite.
Their wedding planned for around 69 guests which fit comfortably indoors for the reception. You can put more tables out on the deck where they put the ShutterBooth Photo Booth. Location wise in the mountains it is along the foothills highly accessible to those in Denver. Here is our other work at Willow Ridge Manor. Here is the blog of their wedding on the Willow Ridge Manor website.
