Hire a Mariachi Band for Your WeddingWedding Details:
This was one of the couple road weddings we will do in a year. Dane and Erin are in the Denver area but her family is down in Dallas so having the wedding there just made sense. Dallas was hot in comparison to most places in Colorado. Thankfully they had an indoor wedding ceremony and most everything indoors. We got there – well extremely early. Overall things were rather chill in the getting ready time.
The guys were down in their space and the women in the bridal suite area. Before the ceremony there was a father daughter first look in a courtroom. To give an idea of personality there was a high five exchanged and they sat down in the chairs with Erin in the witness stand. The ceremony had a ribbon tie done by friends and family. There was a friends and family tequila shot time in the bridal suite. In cocktail hour they had a mariachi band which was awesome!
The night was focused on having a good party which included lively dancing. To give an idea of how much dancing was a part of the celebration when Dane and Erin entered the reception an impromptu first dance broke out. This later through off the DJ who must have thought that was the first dance. Technically, it was since they didn’t dance in the street when we took some photos outside before the reception. Nonetheless, we had a second dance. We would say probably the most lively dancing was the father of the bride who was certainly enjoying the evening. From the kiss of the groom in the ceremony to getting on his back on the dance floor. We did some photos that night outside which allowed us to have some fun with night photography. One last thing to note is if you look close at the 3 bouquet tosses you will see the bridesmaids running . . . away.
Old Red Museum Review:
Located in Downtown Dallas the Old Red Museum is a rather awesome venue space. The 4th floor is where the rental space is in the building. The ceilings are very tall which makes it so that from a photography perspective you have to shoot slower due to the flash having to bounce off a space higher up. You can tell there have been some renovations. The ceremony space is clean, elegant, but yet with a rustic flare to it from the old stone, cement, and plaster. There are some really awesome stairs in the space and the reception hall has the tall pillars with tall spires in the corners. It is an ideal place for a downtown wedding venue with ample parking in the garage and easy access.
For Videography they brought in Pacecar Productions. Probably just as important as the work they produce (which is great) they are awesome to work with and add to the wedding day. Personally it huge and while you cannot see it in their work they are highly personable. As for their work what I like is the flow. They come in with the right gear to have good flow in the videos. This motion setup takes some extra gear, skill in using it, but the end result creates a wedding video you want to watch over and over. Get them. They are great to work with and a team we would love to work with again. If you are not in their area know they are willing to travel.
