Proposal on Bike Ride with a PicnicProposal Details:

Okay – so there were a lot of details, many moving parts, and a lot of people involved.  For Aron and Mikayla things worked out perfectly.  This should likely be a comforting thing for Mikayla but Aron knows her.  While you might think that is a given some guys miss some key things.  They started on a bike ride up at the Museum of Nature and Science in City Park Denver.  They took a loop around the park with picnic stuff in the bike basket.  While we often joke about hiding in trees and bushes it was actually true in this instance.

After getting them passing by at the first spot we moved to the second.  At this point some women getting in their car found the guy in the tree a little startling.  Looping back up by the Museum they put out a picnic spread in the grass.  They tossed out an orange blanket and sat there looking off at the pond, with downtown and some mountains in the background. Incase you feel a Sunday night picnic is cliche there were two other couples out there at the same time.

Getting back up by the Museum a mob of family and friends were in hiding equipped with curiosity, anticipation, balloons, grandma, and enough champagne to intoxicate the group.  As things went because she might find the ring, already ate her cookie for the day, and well just to keep it interesting a friend of Aron’s had two gift bags and approached the proposal spot.  The friend was on the phone and appeared to get an urgent call.  Flustered he ran away and ‘accidentally’ dropped a bag.  Aron saw this going down and tried to let him know it was dropped.

Overall, knowing the general idea it played out rather convincingly.  She did comment in the proposal debrief with friends that she said ‘are you going to propose or something’.  Most often that is cause it seems like something is up but at the same time very few women would say that if they really thought he was in that moment.  By her reaction you could tell there was surprise and elated joy from the proposal but yet this calm assurance of knowing exactly her answer to him.  At the point of the proposal the mob of family and friends made their way to them.  You know you did well as a guy when she moves 6-8 feet back and has her head at her knees from all the emotions.  Having those you love and cherish show up throws an already overwhelmed with emotion women into overload.

That was a lot of details with many left out for reasons of just getting to the photos.  If you are a guy reading this thinking of a multi layered complex proposal like this one just know there are a couple things that made it work.  For Aron he was reasonable with his ideas and did things based on knowing her and yet making it special.  Also, in having it photographed, he followed the plan well which allowed for us getting the moment in the ideal way for photography and get the timing down.
