Evergreen Lake House Wedding | Evergreen, CO
Evergreen Mountain WeddingWedding Details:
We went to many different places throughout the wedding day. We started with Jake and Bridget at the Aura Salon in Littleton, CO. A lot of salons are nice but with the high ceilings and black/white decor this place really worked well for the getting ready photos. As guys take 5 minutes to get ready and don’t need hair or makeup done they were across the street in at the Hampton Inn and Suites. Everyone made their way to the hotel to get dressed. There was a first look outside in the grass.
Everyone then proceeded to the tour bus. Having seen a ‘party bus’ before that seemed more like a prison bus their retirement home bus was a plush and practical idea for transportation. From the hotel we all went to Christ the King Catholic Church for the ceremony. Thankfully there was some extra time in there as a hair stylist thought it a good idea to drive into the back of our car by the venue. We were able to sort things out and not impact anything other than our rear bumper.
Having shot a number of Catholic ceremony weddings this one was probably the most formal of a mass. The church is beautiful and has gorgeous architecture. The space allows for photographers to get close but not interrupt the ceremony. Afterward we went over to Mount Falcon Park with the wedding party. We love using this Denver mountain park as it has a beautiful mountain setting, rolling foothills, good parking, and well it works almost any time of day with the fields and trees.
The last location we went to was the Evergreen Lake House for the reception. One thing we find common and unique for the location is you can easily do a food truck for the catering. In this case they had barbecue but it was served inside. The party scene of the wedding was one where a drink in hand laughing on the deck under the moonlight was the preferred route for a lot of guests.
