Lost Gulch Overlook | Elopement | Winter | Boulder
Winter Elopement in Colorado MountainsElopement Wedding Details:
Most couples do not envision the ideal wedding day to be in a blizzard. Aaron and Mayssa were thinking of a nice place with a huge mountain view and some snow. Little did they know it would snow 1-2 feet the day they planned to go the self solemnization route. They got their snow but most would argue that 2 feet is more than what would be considered ‘some’. The perk about winter snow measured in feet is that we get to break out the 36 inch snow shoes on a photoshoot. We love how they were flexible and came into the day with a playful fun loving attitude.
We were originally planning something further out but re-evaluated the options when seeing the roads close. While things reopened the view wasn’t going to be there due to the next storm rolling in so we opted for Flagstaff Mountain in Boulder, CO. There were some blue skies and after some crazy wind gusts a warm sun peaking out from behind the clouds. The ceremony was simple but rich speaking to the good times and bad times. Laughter was abundant and falling in the snow was inevitable for photos. We love how they have an adventurous side and wanted to make the day their own.
