Fall Wedding in Chautauqua ParkWedding Details:

The wedding day was full of laughter and a laid back relaxed atmosphere.  Upon arriving at Hotel Boulderado we went up to Jamie’s room.  Lucas was already ready at that point and soon down in the lobby getting an expresso shot while others got a pre-wedding beer.  We had a first look in the lobby area before heading off to Chautauqua Park for some couples photos.  We love how they have the non-traditional take on things with a lack of bridal party.

The wedding Ceremony was in the grass on the far side of Chautauqua Park.  They just setup some chairs and had some musicians playing off to the side.  The officiant was very lively and animated in her expressions.  She had an interactive and engaging flare to her.

After the ceremony and some family photos we went over to Agora at the Riverside for cocktail hour and reception.  Drinks were served out on the back patio where people were mingling and laughing at the stories shared.  The live band music spilled out of the main room.  Some of the unique things of the day were the table names which I think were areas where they had been at in some point in life or where the people where from.  They did various types of pie in place of cake.  Lastly, did the toast story include Jamie rolling a car?

Chautauqua Park and Agora at the Riverside Review:

Anyone who knows Boulder knows that Chautauqua Park is a popular place.  With popularity comes the potential for parking limitations and people all over the place.  With the flatirons in the background it is however quite beautiful.  Things on their wedding day were a little wet in the grassy area.  To the northeast side of the grass where they had their ceremony it wasn’t too bad.  Overall things worked well.  We highly recommend you do your ceremony in the afternoon and have those in the ceremony facing the flatirons.  Overall it will help things lighting wise look much better.

Agora at the Riverside in Boulder is a cute little eclectic space to use for a wedding reception.  Unless it were a small wedding it would be hard to do both your ceremony and reception in the space.  A lot of people will do ceremonies somewhere along the front range mountains then need another place for the reception.
