We love it when a couple can make the wedding day their own.  For Kevin and Lindsey they kept the day overall simple with friends and family.  There were around 60 wedding guests so it was relatively small for the size of wedding ceremonies St. Julien can host.  We did some photos in Chautauqua park before the ceremony.  It is a short drive down the road from the venue.  Most days of the week things there are a little crazy.  I don’t think we have ever seen the parking lot empty.  The upside is that it has a good mountain view and fields close to most things in Boulder.

The ceremony on the lawn was intimate but didn’t have a small feel.  The string instruments playing in the ceremony and cocktail hour brought a nice level of class.  It was the first time we have heard the officiate quote from a case on describing marriage.  It was highly fitting and rather comical when you have a lawyer getting married.  Cocktail hour was in the ballroom foyer and spilled out onto the patio.  The reception was crazy beautiful.  The room was transformed by Alexan Events.  Something unique to the evening was having the Bourbon bar out in the Ballroom Lobby.  Dare we say the alcohol flowed with 2 bars in the reception.

St Julien Hotel and Spa | Soul-X Band | Alexan Events Review:

The St Julien Hotel is already a rather ritzy location to have your wedding but when you add to it the classy decor put on by Alexan Events it becomes a dream wedding.  We could write down all the positive things about the venue but really it is the kind of place where you expect everything to be perfect, modern, and classy.  Our expectations were met and so if you are looking at places in Boulder put this location on your list.

Soul-X Band was one of the most talented and diverse bands I think you could get for a lively reception.  One of the things that really differentiated them was the interaction while performing both vocally and in dancing.  It adds a whole other level of energy into a reception when its not just someone with a mic and a nice voice but a group of vocalists and really good entertainers.

Alexan Events was amazing.  They completely transformed the reception ballroom into this elegant, light, and gorgeous setting.  They brought in a number of their tables, custom bar, and other seating elements as part of their Furniture and Decor line.  The result was an effective use of space to make a room that would have swallowed 60 guests into a place that had great flow, good spacing, and beautiful design.  If you are going to be having your wedding at St. Julien then you will not have an in house coordinator.  We think this is a good thing cause it gives you a good reason to go get an amazing team like Alexan Events!
