Chief Hosa Lodge | Golden
Colorado Mountain Wedding 30 Minutes from DenverWedding Details:
Dave and Claire wanted a wedding about the people. It was at Chief Hosa Lodge in Golden, Colorado. The weather was perfect for their wedding day. We have now learned how to tie a bow tie through the struggle Dave had at the beginning. Between you tube videos, an app, and some outside help the bow tie finally was in place. It’s not very often that a bride is ready before the groom. Claire and Dave did pictures together before the wedding and later we went out for sunset pictures. I love how they were cracking up the whole time. They have the best smiles when they laugh. It was easy to capture the joy of the day with lots of laughter going on through out the venue.
Chief Hosa Lodge, Golden Review:
Chief Hosa Lodge is a great place for a rustic colorado mountain wedding. Snow capped peaks are not far in the distance, it is close to Denver but still in the mountains. I am not sure how it is still part of Golden, CO but it is far from what we know and think of as Golden. It is a venue that you can bring your own vendors in – this will save on cost but potentially cause a little more work on your end. It is a public space managed now by the City of Denver (Rates).
One way to pull it all together with class is to use someone like Mark Christopher Weddings to not just plan and run the day of but to do the planning of the whole wedding. Mark and his team were awesome, high end, and were vital to how well the day came together. Dave and Claire wanted a wedding that was about the guests, laid back, and fun and Mark Christopher Weddings helped them accomplish their vision.
We loved the patio outside for its open feel. The stone and wooden beams inside made for a rustic outdoorsy charm. People could talk, laugh, and dance. They added some outdoor heaters for the May wedding though I think it was warm enough to get by without them. The sunset there is great and there are some great spots nearby onsite to capture the colorado mountain wedding feel. Enjoy some of the pictures below.
